Data We Collect
We collect information necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve HelloCyberLab and HC Capture Intel.
Account information
Your email address, account identifier, and other information you provide when creating or using a HelloCyberLab account.
API key and authentication data
The API key you provide to connect HC Capture Intel to your HelloCyberLab workspace and authenticate extension requests.
Captured intelligence content
Text or content you select and save, plus notes, tags, threat-actor links, malware links, custom-entity links, and other capture-form information you choose to submit.
Source and technical metadata
The source URL, domain, page title, capture timestamp, extension version, browser information, and diagnostic data needed to provide, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
Usage data
Information about extension and platform features used, including actions related to capturing, saving, reviewing, and managing intelligence records.
HC Capture Intel Extension
HC Capture Intel helps you create structured intelligence records from material you choose to capture while researching in a Chromium-based browser.
User-selected content
When you select text and use the extension’s capture feature, HC Capture Intel collects the selected text or highlighted content that you choose to save. The extension may also collect information you enter into the capture form, including notes, tags, and links to threat actors, malware, or custom entities.
Source and context metadata
For each saved highlight, the extension collects the source URL, source domain, page title, and capture timestamp. This information is used to preserve the provenance and context of the intelligence record in your HelloCyberLab Notebook.
API key and authentication
You provide an API key to connect HC Capture Intel to your HelloCyberLab account. The key is used to authenticate the extension and authorize the synchronization of saved intelligence records with your account workspace. Treat your API key as confidential and do not share it with others.
Capture modes and permissions
You may choose automatic capture mode or on-demand capture mode. In automatic mode, the extension can display its capture interface when you highlight text on supported webpages. In on-demand mode, you initiate capture by selecting text and using the browser context menu. In either mode, the extension is intended to capture content only when you take an action to save it.
What the extension does not collect
HC Capture Intel is not designed to collect passwords, payment-card information, cookies, authentication tokens, form entries, private messages, or complete browsing history. It does not sell captured information or use it for advertising or behavioral profiling.
Captured highlights, metadata, notes, tags, and entity links are sent to your HelloCyberLab account when you choose to save them. We use this information solely to provide and improve the Service, maintain security, and support your authorized threat-intelligence workflow.
How We Use & Share Data
We use personal and extension data only for legitimate operational purposes connected to HelloCyberLab and HC Capture Intel.
We use data to:
Authenticate your extension; save and synchronize selected intelligence records; display records in your Notebook; maintain source context; provide support; secure the Service; prevent fraud or misuse; diagnose technical problems; and improve functionality and reliability.
Workspace sharing
Information you save may be visible to authorized users in the HelloCyberLab workspace associated with the API key and account used by the extension. Workspace administrators and members may have access according to the workspace’s permissions and settings.
Service providers and legal obligations
We may use carefully selected service providers for infrastructure, hosting, authentication, payment processing, security, analytics, and customer support. We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of HelloCyberLab, our users, or others.
We do not sell or rent your personal information or extension-captured data. We do not use this data for personalized advertising, advertising measurement, or data-broker purposes.
Data Retention
We retain data only for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.

Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information, or update saved intelligence records through your workspace where available.
Request deletion of personal data or saved records, subject to legal, security, and operational retention requirements.
Where required by applicable law, request a copy of eligible personal data in a usable format.
You can remove locally stored extension data by clearing the extension’s storage or uninstalling the extension. You can delete saved Notebook records through your account where available or contact us for assistance. We may verify your identity before processing a request.
